La Made: Exploring Abstract Collage & Color

About the Event

Patrons will use a range of mixed-media materials to create a hanging mobile consisting of wire, string, buttons, and pieces of handmade paper. With consideration of 3D space and form, specifically looking at the work of artists Alexander Calder and Ruth Asawa, students will explore the use of diverse materials and how to unify them cohesively into a single piece/mobile.

Jennifer Gutierrez Morgan has BFA degree in Printmaking and BA in Chicano/a Latino/a studies from California State University Long Beach and over 20 years experience in the Art and Education sectors.

This program is made possible by the LA Made Fund.

For disability-related accommodations, please call (213) 228-7430 at least five business days prior to the event. The City will make every effort to accommodate requests received with less notice.
