Coming to America: Transformations
About the Event
Coming to America: Transformations is a stirring theatrical portrait of ten women whose lives have been transformed, first, by extraordinary events in their country of birth, then by their response to America. Written and performed by award-winning actor/playwright Stephanie Satie (Refugees and Silent Witnesses); directed by Anita Khanzadian. Coming to America spans four decades of immigration and is a moving response to our current political climate. Meet women from El Salvador, Armenia, India, Iran, Afghanistan, Russia, Iraq, Serbia, Cambodia, and Syria.
This program is made possible by the generous support of the Friends of Kaufman Brentwood Branch Library.
