When playboy Nickie Ferrante and nightclub singer Terry McKay, fall in love while engaged to others on a transatlantic cruise, they agree to meet in six months atop the Empire State Building, but a tragic accident leaves Terry paralyzed, leading to misunderstandings and heartbreak.
