Comedian Molly Shannon stars as Emily Dickinson in this comedic drama about the legendary poet and her possible love affair with her lifelong friend Susan Gilbert. The director, Madeleine Olnek, was able to obtain permission from Harvard University to use their collection of Emily Dickinson’s letters and poems in the film.
