Sunland-Tujunga Branch Library - 100 Years With LAPL
Tue, Nov 3 2026
6:00 PM - 7:00 PM
About the Event
Join local historian Angie Jung for a brief history of the early years of the Sunland-Tujunga Branch, from its founding as two separate libraries in the neighboring communities of Monte Vista (Sunland) and Los Terrenitos (Tujunga) in 1913, to the establishment of a single branch library in 1952. Brief biographies of the librarians who helped shape early library services demonstrate the strong relationship between the library and the communities it served.
Refreshments will be served.
For disability-related accommodations, please call (213) 228-7430 at least five business days prior to the event. The City will make every effort to accommodate requests received with less notice.
