Film Screening: Theater Camp (2023)

About the Event

In this ribald mockumentary, Tony Award winners Ben Platt and Molly Gordon play longtime best friends and drama instructors at a rundown Theater Camp (2023, rated PG-13) in upstate New York. A diverse young band of queer aspiring actors and singers have made the camp a haven for gender acceptance. But when the clueless tech-bro son of the camp’s original founder arrives to run the property (into the ground), the staff and students must rally together to try to stage a smash hit production that can keep their beloved camp afloat. A hilariously loving send-up of musical theater culture that will speak to anyone with firsthand experience of the tribulations of backstage life.
