About the Event

The Teen Origami Club is a welcoming space for participants of all levels to learn the Japanese art of paper folding—transforming simple paper into animals, objects, or complex designs, fostering creativity, patience, and community. Every month the club will learn a new origami technique or work to complete their goal of creating 1,000 paper cranes! The "Malabar Teen 1,000 Paper Crane Project" was started by the Teen Origami Club in March 2026. Collectively the club has made 236 paper cranes. They hope to make 1,000 paper cranes this year to honor the strength and resilience of the Boyle Heights community. Supplies are provided.

No registration required.
